The design is simple and solid, with only the essential features. The details have been well thought out: it's easy to set up in snowy weather and when wearing gloves; the zippers don't jam; the tent can be anchored with ice axes or skis, and used with aluminum or carbon poles . Light mountaineering at high altitude demands total confidence in your equipment. Every gram counts and must be absolutely necessary.
I've been using this type of tent for 14 years, and I've been using the Samaya prototypes for three. Now I can say it: I think this tent is really perfect!

Carbon_X™
Entirely designedin carbon, both in cross-sections and junctions, they avoid the stresses associated with assembling different materials. Their draped carbon fiber construction reduces the risk of splinters in the event of breakage, and facilitates repairs in the field. Finally, the contrast between the red color of the poles and the black of the joints makes it easy to visually check that they fit together correctly, reducing the risk of breakage during use.
