Based in the heart of the Alps, Samaya is a French brand of technical equipment created in 2018 by mountaineers convinced that the ideal tent had yet to be imagined.

Samaya is passionately committed to reinventing lightweight roaming and simplifying access to overnight stays in the mountains, whether for expeditions in extreme conditions or for experiences in more accessible locations.

Samaya s ambition is to help create the conditions for the elevation of the spirit. This begins with the working environment for its team, on a 1,000 m² site close to Lake Annecy.

At Samaya High Camp, Samaya brings together large, open, modern offices, a showroom, a prototyping and production workshop, a research area with a laboratory and test benches, and a young, dynamic team always ready for a trip to the mountains or a friendly get-together!

THE POSITION TO BE FILLED

You will be responsible for developing the Defense & Security Business Unit (BU D&S) within the company. You will work cross-functionally with the company's various divisions and teams to ensure the successful development and growth of the D&S BU.

 

STRATEGY & MANAGEMENT

- Develop D&S strategy (business plan, product roadmap, sales strategy, etc.) in conjunction with management
- Structure an action plan for operational deployment
- Build the Samaya brand for the D&S market, in conjunction with management.
- Manage the D&S BU (finance, development, operations, recruitment, management...)

 

SALES

- Establish Samaya 's reputation in the D&S market
- Develop a high-quality customer portfolio in France and abroad
- Set up and manage a D&S distribution network
- Deploy the D&S sales strategy operationally to achieve set objectives

 

SEARCH

- Contribute to D&S-related research projects
- Act as a link between the armed forces and research teams Samaya

 

DEVELOPMENT

- Work with the R&D team to develop new D&S products
- Ensure that D&S product development schedules are adhered to
- Organize, carry out and analyze field tests with the armed forces to develop new products

 

OPERATIONS

- Supervise production operations (quality, costs, timing)
- Actively participate in the internal relocation and industrialization project
