THE POSITION TO BE FILLED

As part of the R&D department, you will work alongside the R&D materials manager to develop materials for Samaya products, from the marketing brief through to production launch. You will work closely with product engineers, our prototyping workshop and our materials suppliers. You will be responsible for part of the materials development process, from the formulation of specifications with our suppliers to final validation before production, including all phases of certification and laboratory and field testing (durability, assembly, design, etc.).

- Analysis of existing situation and project management based on materials briefs
- Materials design and development in line with specifications and CSR vision
- Management of relations with suppliers (sharing and presenting specifications, negotiating prices and deadlines, monitoring quality).
- Definition, organization and performance of laboratory and field tests, followed by analysis of results.
- Set up and monitor quality controls for production.
- Analysis of projects and market feedback
- Maintain and update the materials database and showroom.

 

THE PROFILE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Textile engineer in training - ENSAIT Roubaix / ENSISA Mulhouse / ITECH Lyon / HEI Lille
- Knowledge of the outdoor and textile industries
- Good interpersonal skills, ambition, rigor, efficiency
- Sewing skills desirable
- Experience in project management
- Fluent in professional English
