At Samaya High Camp, Samaya brings together large, open, modern offices, a showroom, a prototyping and production workshop, a research area with a laboratory and test benches, and a young, dynamic team always ready for a trip to the mountains or a friendly get-together!

THE POSITION TO BE FILLED

At Samaya , we're building a committed team, focused on innovation, the field and quality products. In this context, the proposed position will have an essential technical support role for the R&D and Operations divisions: product development, materials sourcing, industrialization, industrial partnerships, quality.

On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for technical testing and validation, with the aim of providing design and production decisions with accurate, concrete and reliable data. You will be involved at all stages: laboratory testing of raw materials and components, product testing in the workshop, quality control at the end of production, as well as analysis of feedback from the field or after-sales service.

To do this, you will be able to draw on the high-performance testing equipment already in place in our laboratory and workshop, and help develop it further. Your mission will be part of a continuous improvement program designed to enhance the performance, durability and safety of the products we design.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Quality of materials, components and finished products

Set up and manage test resources, software, test benches, quality assessment tools and machines (including output, maintenance and training)
Manage projects for special machines and specific tools, including for the workshop
Check the conformity of incoming raw materials and components
Check first production runs (PPS) against expected performance criteria
Define and ensure compliance with quality standards for finished products, including under field conditions
Implement and monitor quality controls at the end of production, both internally and externally
Manage relations with external laboratories, subject to approval by management for negotiations and contracts
Integrate after-sales and field feedback into a continuous improvement approach

Development industrialization

Design innovative industrial processes to optimize product performance/cost ratios
Contribute to the validation and optimization of bills of materials (BOMs) in coordination with the Product and Purchasing teams
Define manufacturing standards: technical data sheets, operating ranges, quality procedures
Ensure a smooth transition between product development phases and production start-up
Optimize industrial processes to guarantee overall performance: margin, quality, lead times
Identify and anticipate weak points in the production chain right from the upstream design phases.

 

THE PROFILE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Technical training, Bac+2 to Bac+5 (BTS, DUT, Licence pro, École d'ingénieur), with specialization in materials, mechanics, technical textiles, production engineering or quality.
First experience in a test laboratory and industrial environment
A keen interest in technical products, performance, testing and outdoor terrain
Proficiency in measurement tools, test benches, test protocols, and good command of the Office pack (Word, Excel) for analysis and formalization of results.
Taste for concrete environments, high standards of execution, inquisitive and rigorous mind.
Ability to move from theory to practice with agility
At ease with technical documentation in English (written level required; spoken appreciated)
A desire to become fully involved in a demanding, innovative and fast-growing company
